Established in 2017 in Italy, ALDA+ Srl Benefit Corporation SB is the benefit company exclusively owned by ALDA* European Association of Local Democracy which aims to pursue purposes of common benefit and to operate in a responsible, sustainable and transparent way. ALDA+ capitalizes on ALDA’s extensive network (+250 members) and on twenty years of experience in facilitating local democracy, active citizenship, and cooperation between local authorities and civil society in Europe, its Neighbourhood, and all around the World, mainly acting through participative methods, multistakeholder approach and decentralized cooperation. In addition, ALDA+ leverages the considerable experience in the Environment & Climate and Digital & Innovation field by being on of the internal thematic hubs. Notably, it has participated in nature-based solutions projects (Life Beware, Life Metro Adapt, GreenScape, Genesis) and circular economy projects (Circular Cities and Regions Initiative).
