CARE-COMM – Cross-border Communication Improvement in Healthcare Institutions
active 2 weeks, 1 day agoThe CARE-COMM project aims to improve the quality of communication between administrative staff, healthcare professionals and patients in healthcare facilities in the Adriatic-Ionian region. Through the joint work of partners from the healthcare sector, academia and civil society, the project develops innovative – non-technical – communication models and tools that improve accessibility, comprehensibility and empathy in the daily work with patients. The project also addresses the challenges of demographic change, low health literacy and the increasing number of vulnerable patients, as well as the need for better communication in crisis situations (e.g. epidemics, natural disasters). CARE-COMM is improving staff capacity through training, creating common protocols and testing them in real hospital settings, and the results will be available and applicable across the region.
