Innovation, Digitalization, and Empowerment through Action and Strategy
active 2 weeks agoThe proposed project aims to enhance innovation capacities in the ADRION region by developing and piloting a transnational model for Smart Specialization that supports digital transformation, creative industries, social innovation, and inclusive participation. Special attention will be given to addressing the digital and innovation divide that characterizes many structurally weaker areas of the region.
Building on previous regional efforts in the field of Industry 4.0—including automation, digital production, and intelligent systems—the project will focus on the implementation of tailored pilot actions based on structured needs assessments and ecosystem analyses, ensuring alignment with local development priorities and Smart Specialization Strategies (S3).
The project will strengthen cooperation among public and private stakeholders—including regional authorities, SMEs, education and research institutions, and civil society—to jointly design and test innovative solutions that contribute to inclusive growth and smart regional development.
By fostering participatory approaches, shared learning, and cross-sectoral collaboration, the project will contribute to the evidence-based shaping of strategic frameworks and improve the conditions for alignment with macro-regional goals, including those of the EUSAIR and S3 platforms.
Through this integrated approach, the project will support the emergence of a more connected, resilient, and innovation-driven ADRION region, while enabling transferability and long-term sustainability of results.
